Springfield College first opened its doors as Springfield Business School. In 1996, the college was acquired by Rhodes Colleges, Inc. (RCi). RCi is a division of Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (CCi), which owns and operates more than 80 postsecondary institutions across the country.

The goal of Springfield College has always been to provide students with the specialized training necessary to succeed in a competitive job market.
